Welcome to our over 20 building collection of heritage buildings from the late
1700s up to the late 1920s. Each building is displayed with the furniture, artifacts and
historical items of the
day. Come see the first house in Essex County to have been built using electricity, and visit with us at our
1840s era general store and see what it had to offer its customers more than 150 years ago. Walk into our
1890s jail, or experience first hand life as it would have been lived in this area from inside a real log cabin. And education? Well sure we can introduce you to a real live Edwardian one-
room schoolhouse complete with desks, ink wells, and yes homework if you so desire. Need a hair cut or perhaps a simple bleeding? Are your shoes in need of repair? Feel like worshipping as one did in our
1880s non denominational church? Or perhaps you would like to catch a train at our Tecumseh, Ontario train station from the early 20th century? Or maybe you just want to pitch some hay in one of our barns? How about a nice walk down our nature trail?
Interested? We hope so. Come visit with us. Make your plans today.
