1903 Wright Flyer

(2/5 Scale Model)

1903 Wright Flyer

On December 17, 1903, at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, the 1903 Wright Flyer became the first powered, heavier-than-air machine to achieve controlled, sustained flight with a pilot aboard.

The Canadian Transportation Museum now has a magnificent 1903 Wright Flyer 2/5 scale that is 100 per cent accurate and functional. There are only three in the world -- one in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, another in the Raleigh Durham, North Carolina airport terminal, and we have the third one.
