Heritage Week Activities February 19th to February 23rd, 2020

2020 Vision: Bringing the Past into the Future

The Canadian Transportation Museum & Heritage Village is joining in the celebration of Heritage Week with a small exhibit featuring a collection of historic bicycles including a penny farthing and a bicycle with wooden rims. As we continue to see municipalities add bike lanes into their road rehabilitation and construction planning this exhibit ties in fittingly with this year’s Heritage Week theme: “2020 Vision: Bringing the Past into the Future”. There is no charge to see this exhibit, as it will be featured in the lobby area of the museum.

The admission fee for adults to tour the transportation museum is $6.00. During Heritage Week, children twelve and under are free and, with a paid admission fee of one adult, another can get in free. There will be museum detective games and children’s automotive-related crafts available Wednesday, February 19th to Sunday, February 23rd from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Please note: the museum and diner are closed on Monday, and the museum is also closed on Tuesday. Heritage Village is closed for the season, but walking passes are available for those who wish to stroll through the village during regular hours.
